*Cheeks will be performing tonight at Higher Ground's Showcase Lounge at "foofaraw"...maybe you're thinking, "what the eff does 'foofaraw' mean?!"...honestly, I'm not quite sure. BUT I am sure that we're performing a bunch of new pieces that we haven't shown yet and that you're gonna be realllllllllly disappointed if you miss it! Look out for photos to be posted soon.

*As a result of this show, class tonight is CANCELLED! Sorry :( Don't worry though, we are still on for Tuesday. After the new year, the schedule will change (and perhaps the location) so stay tuned!

*ALSO! It's official: HEAT! Our first annual dance competition will take place on Sunday February 8, 2009 at The Annex in Burlington's Memorial Auditorium. Sign your school team up or make a team with friends (minimum of five people)! There's going to be some awesome prizes, including cash money....and it's also just gonna be fun and "rad ass", so...you should do it...okay? Okay.

bonjour, montreal!

A couple of weekends ago, we took a lil' trip north of the border to take class at the urban-element studio in montREAL--and, let's be honest, to get some poutines up in our grill pieces...here are some pics from the trip :)

Just a lil' FYI...class on Friday has been changed to 5-7pm--workout from 5-6pm and dance from 6-7pm! Everything else is the same. We promise.

Pretty sweet 'fros for the Halloween festivities...that's about all I have to say about that--

IT'S OFFICIAL! Cheeks is hitting up Monsters of Hip Hop: CANCUN! Following our next show in March 2009 we will be heading south of the border for the bombest hip hop dance convention--check out www.monstersofhiphop.com for other tour dates and try to make it to one of the cities for an amazing weekend of dance!

Okay so I'm cereally gonna post some vids soon...but its even better LIVE, so come to class and be a part of our growing fam :) Like I've said in other posts, we've got some major stuff in the works and even more as of this past weekend--keep your eyes out for announcements of some new events coming in 2009!

Hello!

I am writing partially to update you all on our events/classes/etc. but mostly just to appease C DIDDS who checks the blog at least twice a day and as of late has been pretty disappointed as you can imagine with the lack of info.

Classes have been AWESOME! Thank you so much to everyone who has come--we have a ton of new faces and it has been lot of fun seeing all the individual styles and meeting everyone. If you're interested in taking class or getting a work out, whatever level you are, come try it out!

Tuesdays: 7-8pm Workout ($5)

Thanks so much for an awesome class on Tuesday--special thanks to Hannah A. and Jen S. for coming, you guys are the bomb :)

Be sure to come tomorrow (Friday) at 6pm at The Movement Center in Williston on South Brownell. It's $10 for the two hour class with the workout, stretch, choreo, and freestyle included...BUT...if you are just interested in a work out, please come for the first 45 minutes and join us for the circuit workout and pay only $5. Just let Hannah know at the door when you come in that you are just staying for the workout!

I (Ali) will be teaching tomorrow and next week and then we may have some different Cheeks dancers teaching a new piece--stay reading the blog for updates on that...and also to check out class videos!

Lastly, Cheeks will be performing on Thursday the 16th at Metronome with our main squeeze DJ ZJ and on the 30th at Higher Ground for "The Oakley Experience"...more info on those events to come...

COME TAKE CLASS!

HEYHEY! Ali and other Cheeks dancers will begin teaching classes on Tuesdays (7-9pm) and Fridays (6-8pm) starting next week--it will be $10/class for two hours including: INTENSE WORKOUTS, relaxxxxiinnnng stttttttrreeetchiiinng, fLy ChOrEo, and freestyle (I couldn't think of a good font idea for that one ;)

Keep checking the blog for updates on which one of us will be teaching, what song we'll use, and where we'll be...most likely it will be at The Movement Center in Williston.

*NOTE*--These are drop in classes a.k.a. no sign up necessary, just come when you can--if possible, drop us an email or posting letting us know you're planning on coming so we can know what to expect. WE MISS YOU ALL! Can't wait to see you all in class again....

FREAKSHOW: BABY, BABY!

Cheeks debuted our first full length show last night at Contois Auditorium in Burlington! Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support us in our first REAL show...

...if you missed out on merch last night, you're in luck! We still have some sizes left in our 'Tracy Tank' and 'Logo Tee' and a few camo and khaki 'Logo Caps', not too mention all the new gear coming soon! Look out for photos of all of the items and options for purchasing.
